The opening sequence only displays title of the film. The opening focuses on the character in film more than the titles. Though, the very beginning of the film showed a flickering neon light that said "NEON". The opening credits were not shown for long either. The title was only a couple of seconds at most.

There were multiple images prioritized in the opening sequences. The director first showed a crying eye with a voice over. Then showed an angry man, yelling and destroying furniture. The shot then switches to a women waking up and walking towards the back door to see the sunshine. The director soon after followed the women into an empty apartment, focusing on the packed boxes.

A connotation shown throughout the film is suspense and emotional conflict. The situation and conflict remain vague, giving the feeling suspense to the audience. Though, one thing is for certain within the images shown is the strong presence of an emotional factor. This by the first image of the zoomed in crying eye, then the image of an angry man destroying a room.

The long outset establishes a feeling on uncertainty and suspense. The beginning scenes establish the idea of an emotional conflict. Though, the director not making what that conflict is remain vague gives the suspenseful mood. To further contribute to the suspenseful tone; the empty apartment, packed boxes, and signs of remodeling further the suspense.

For the lovers of dramatic thrillers. The highly dramatic trailer and obscure name reels the audience. The opening scene immediately containing high pinched, thrilling mood heightening adds a tone of uncertainty. All of these elements together reels in the audience of drama/thriller lovers.

Technology was been used effectively contributing the connotations of Drama/Thrillers. The camera techniques used, including the zoom in, the shaky hand, and track have all been used in the film. Editing styles can as well be seen being used in the film. Editing skills including the action match. Long take, jump cut is used in the film. All of the techniques used sufficiently contribute to connotations of the genre. The connotation of suspense, uncertainty, even the emotional conflict in the initial scenes.
