Production Blog: Last Day

After we finished filming, Eric and I started  editing. Tiana and Keren were just sitting on the sidelines waiting for this finished product and critique if we needed to. It took about four days for Eric to get back to us, to update us on what was going on with editing. He said that the guy who gave us permission to use his horror music for the film deleted the video off of YouTube. He did add that he emailed him to see it the guy could send it to us or if he could post it back up on his page. Keren suggested that he should stress to the man that this is an important project we need to get done. Keren also told him to include that the project was going to be due very soon, to evoke him to respond quicker. I knew something like this was going to happen in the back of my head. Later that day, Eric reassured us that the guy put the video back up and even wished us some good luck on our project.  After two days, Eric sent us the video, before posting it on YouTube for us to embed. When I

The final days of our final task project are approaching. My group and I wrapped up filming last Thursday. Ever since then, it’s been all about editing. Eric has been the one editing our film.  My group and I settled on the name “Secrets”. We also settled on certain people in the group appearing as certain roles during the title sequence based on what they did throughout this process. For instance, as Keren Casseus was the one who took care of the makeup, she appeared as the makeup artist and costume designer in the title sequence. As Eric Bonilla edited the entire video, with my tiny assistance, Eric and I appeared as the editors. As all of us came up with the concept of the film, all of us appeared as the story writers.

Production Blog: Our Last Filming Day

Today was my group and I's last filming day. When the day ended, we were kind of sad that our project was coming to an end. However, we were happy and grateful for the experience because it made us all closer friends.  The day started after school. Because we had an early release day today, we were able to arrive at an earlier time and begin our production process. Tiana arrived a little later in the day due to a school-based situation so it was just Keren, Eric, and I for the first couple of hours. I arrived at Keren's house around 1:30 in the afternoon. Eric was already there. Because we could not begin filming without Tiana present, we waited for her to arrive. The three of us drove to buy some lunch and discuss some sort of game plan for the day. By the time we all returned, Tiana was outside Keren's house, waiting for us. We went inside and began preparing. Keren did Tiana's makeup first. After she finished her makeup, Keren did Eric's makeup. Tiana already had

A filming day was scheduled to be last Saturday. However, we had to cancel. Keren and I already filmed all of the scenes we were in. Now, we just need to film Eric and Tiana's parts. Eric was out of town and was not sure he would be able to make it. So, we came to a group decision to prioritize Tiana's scenes. That is what Saturday was going to be about. Tiana could not make it either. She had to work that day. Because Keren and I do not need to be filmed anymore, we decided to cancel.  After school today, I discussed with my group which days would work best for filming. Primarily, we scheduled our filming day to be on Saturday. I am going to be out of the country on Sunday so Saturday was the only weekend day that worked best for everyone. But, after seeing how Thursday is an half day, my group felt that Thursday was best. Especially considering that Saturday was an unsure day due to work. So, my group and I will film this Thursday. Every member will be there.

Production Blog: Three days before

Three days before my group and I's scheduled filming day. After school, my group and I discussed possible filming days. Because Friday was no school, we wanted to film during that day. However, as it was a holiday, and some group members have jobs, it was not possible. As we continued discussing over the phone, we settled on Saturday being our filming day. There are many things left uncertain. One of my group members, Eric, has been out of town for a while. He is no sure whether or not he would be able to make it. This causes a little hinderance in the filming process. More specifically, Tiana, another groupmate's filming process. As practically all of her scenes are with Eric, we saw it would be weird if Eric was not there to act with Tiana. However, we came to a solution. We decided that we would film Tiana's scenes into one large video, having a full conversation to match the dialogue in the script. This way, we can cut out what we do or do not need. Also, there will be
