Planning for my Music Video

Song

The song we decided to do is Positions by Ariana Grande. We first chose this song because we all liked it. We all also had plenty of ideas on what we could do for the video. This made Positions seem like the "perfect" song.

Costumes

For our costumes, we decided to use different aesthetics. Dezyrae's aesthetic was boujee/ girly. She had basically wore a girly outfit with boujee sunglasses and accessories. Keren's aesthetic was "soft girl". Soft girl is a fashion style, popular among some young women on social media, based on a deliberately cutesy, feminine look. It often features pink and yellow colors, floral and heart patterns, oversized sweaters and plaid skirts, and heavy blush makeup. Mya's aesthetic was edgy. This aesthetic normally consists of dark clothing, silver jewelry, and bold makeup. Sarayah's aesthetic was Indie. This aesthetic is a bright, colorful style usually involving oversized jeans, large hoodies, and small shirts.

Location

When planning this music video, we felt it would be best to film inside. Since we don't have permission to film in public establishments, we decided to film at one of our homes. Though Keren lived the furthest, her house was the best film at. She already had everything we needed in her room.

Backup Plan

For our backup plan we chose the song POV by Ariana Grande. This song is also on Ariana's Positions album. While listening to this song, it gave off a vibe of an insecure person trying to see how others see her as pretty. So, we decided if we do this song we'd use that storyline. We'd have one of us act as an insecure girl while we're all at a sleepover. The rest of us would be trying to cheer her up and show her she's beautiful.
