Music Video Blog

    

    This music video project was our first group project so far. Getting to work together was fun since we hadn't seen each other in forever. It also made the work process a lot easier since we split the work up amongst everyone. During the entire project, everyone got the chance to increase their filming and editing skills. We were able to share our different ideas when putting together the video, as well as discuss the different effects, costumes, makeup, etc. Getting to work together really benefited us because everyone was good in different areas and combined together, we were able to put together something creative.

    At the beginning, when we were first assigned the project, we spent a couple of days discussing the different aspects. We had many different things in mind for the video. We discussed everything as far as angles, shots, effects, transitions, CLAMPS and so much more. We then set a date to start the filming process at Kc's house. While filming, we learned new ways to add effects to certain scenes. One of the best effects we learned was the one in the mirror scene with Mya. Also, we learned how to do a new transition. It took us some time to get it right but we figured it out eventually. Not only did we have to edit the scenes but we had to edit the song itself to exclude some parts as well as, get it to the length we needed, which Dezyrae did. While filming, we had to keep in mind there were specific shots and angles that we needed to include. This helped with our knowledge on what the different shots and angles looked like for future references. 

    All in all, we learned many new things during this music video. We all had a good time working together and it really helped take the stress of working individually, off of our shoulders. It definitely increased our knowledge and ability to film and edit. The project was very enjoyable my group and we did a very decent job for our first time.
